This Is How We Do The Old To The New...Thursdays

Sometimes it really is all about a song...

There are some song lyrics that touch you no matter who is singing them (as long as the person can sing that is). And "At Your Best" is one of those songs. I love the Isley Brother's version and Aaliyah's version of this song. Enjoy...

I know, Angelia. I love it when the artist puts their own spin on it and still comes up with a wonderful song. The songs sound different, but the feeling is the same... :-)

Yes, K-Ci from Jodeci does it really well with Bobby Womack and Stevie Wonder songs, and Jaguar Wright does a Patti Labelle cut on her first CD, wow-wee...I am a serious music-head!!

I may be the only person in the world who loves Aaliyah's version more than the original version.

Good choice.

Angelia ~ You're right Ki-Ci does an excellent job with Bobby Womack's "If You Think You're Lonely Now." I have to dig out my Jaguar Wright and check out her Patti. Thanks for giving me some future postings. ;-)

Don ~ You might not be the only one. I really like the Aaliyah version a lot, maybe a little more than the original.

I was having a "down" moment so I needed to hear that song today. I like both versions.
